Little Darlings - Vintage Retro 14K White Gold Blossom Pendant & Earring Set.  This charming set is crafted from 14K white gold, hallmarked 14K and makers mark for Mercury Ring Corporation. Featuring 3 natural round cut diamonds, exquisite detail, and quality gold-work.  This lovely set contains a pendant and earrings, which resemble flower blossoms.  The pendant and earrings are dainty, however still solid.  Lovely carved petals of white gold form the blossoms with a claw-set sparkling white diamond in each flower.  The pendant is accompanied by a 14K white gold chain (which looks to be original to the piece). The earrings feature posts and secure butterfly backs for pierced ears. The beautiful set was made by the Mercury Ring Corporation of New York City in the 1950s.  These Vintage beauties are so versatile , and exudes elegance, femininity and charm.

In 1953, GIA formally created its diamond grading system, known as the 4 C's. The 4 Cs of diamond quality are the universally recognized diamond grading system still to be used today.  1n 1955, GIA presented its first diamond grading reports, which became the hallmark of grading reports in the diamond industry. Before this time in antiquity clients did not care about diamond grading. It was based more so on the size of the diamonds (according to budget) , style, and sentiment.
