The Dark Ages - Medieval 14th - 15th Century Silver Cross & Wreath Seal Ring.  This rare antiquity is crafted from a high grade silver, tested and confirmed.  Featuring Medieval styling, wonderful hand-engraving and quality silver-work.  The face of the ring is a signet style, exhibiting beautiful engraving of a cross and wreath.  These type of rings were often used to seal letters with wax.  The shoulders on the ring are also decorated, leading down to a smooth plain shank. The ring is very solid and substantial, which makes it great for daily wear. The back of the face of the ring is also solid, allowing the ring to feel comfortable to wear. The ring displays a perfect aged patina, adding character and interest to the piece.  Very highly collectible and in  wonderful condition, a true treasure to be enjoyed and cherished for many years to come.

Note: Antiquities are luxury items, can be worn with care.   This is a very fine example of a well preserved ring.  It is recommended by the museums not to polish the patina off of a ring, which will preserve the integrity and value of the piece.  To clean use water on a damp cloth and pat dry with soft cloth.
