Ancient Viking 11th- 13th century bronze cross pendant. This rare cross is hand crafted from bronze, it has a beautiful aged patina and is a excavated piece. The scale of the cross is small, however it is still sturdy. It may have been worn my a woman or child. The cross has a very simple design, viking jewellery was usually simple , however this is part of it's charm. The central part of the cross has a small square with a small raised cross design as the focal point. The cross branches out to more detail ( balls) at the ends of the cross. The ends are lovely and smooth and add a design quality to the beautiful cross. I have added a bail and a contemporary leather cord to the cross. Truly a rare piece of history to be enjoyed and treasured for many years to come.
