Moonlight Sonata - Vintage Sterling Silver Natural Sapphire & Rose Cut Marcasite Parure. This extraordinary set is crafted from sterling silver, hallmarked 925 for sterling. Featuring 21 natural oval cut faceted sapphires, 250 rose-cut marcasite, Victorian Revival styling, and quality silver-work. The expertly claw set sapphires are a medium to dark blue, with a beautiful violet hue. There are 11 dangles on the necklace, featuring clusters of sapphires and sparkling marcasite. The front portion of the necklace are set with the precious sapphires and the back are silver links set with marcasite. The clasp is a secure fold and clip style which is in perfect working order. The earrings are for pierced ears, featuring posts and secure butterfly backs. They have a beautiful surmounts of sapphires surrounded by marcasite, whilst the dangles on the earrings match the necklace perfectly. This statement parure is substantial, elegant and quite simply beautiful. An absolutely breathtaking Vintage set for any special occasion or wonderful addition to your collection of jewels.
