Morning Song - Vintage 18K Gold Natural Fancy Canary Yellow Diamond Engraved Ring . This gorgeous ring is crafted from 18K gold, hallmarked 750 and 18K, confirmed with professional appraisal. Featuring one natural round brilliant yellow diamond, 12 natural full cut diamonds, Art Deco styling, and quality craftsmanship. This unique ring is expertly claw-set by a beautiful light yellow canary diamond, which is flanked by two bezel set diamonds. The shoulders are tapered, and adorned by diamonds, which lead down to exquisite engraved detail.  The gallery showcases wonderful open-work and a substantial setting. History: The earliest diamonds were found in India in 4th century BC, although the youngest of these deposits were formed 900 million years ago. A majority of these early stones were transported along the network of trade routes that connected India and China, commonly known as the Silk Road.

Fancy yellow diamonds are a rare subset of the most common kind of diamonds, known as the Cape Series, or type 1a. These diamonds have traces of nitrogen in their crystal structure. Fancy yellow diamonds have more nitrogen in their composition than colorless diamonds.

Gold was generally used for a couple thousand years solely to create things such as jewelry and idols for worship. This was until around 1500 BC when the ancient empire of Egypt, which benefited greatly from its gold-bearing region, Nubia, made gold the first official medium of exchange for international trade.
