Art Deco gold & topaz blue beaded flapper necklace. This wonderful glass beaded flapper necklace dates back to the 1920s. These were made in France and often purchased by the soldiers after WW1 as souvenirs. They are made with micro beads and completely handmade. Although bead work dates back thousands of years ago, european glass beadwork dates back to the 14th century. This necklace is a wonderful example of the handmade beaded pieces from the flapper era. The necklace is composed of a colour palette of gold , topaz blue, onyx black and amethyst purple. This beautiful necklace can be worn dressy or casual. A lovely necklace to treasure and enjoy.
