Art Deco silver & pearl necklace. This beautiful Art Deco period necklace is made of a silver tones metal, it is in remarkable condition. The faux peals still have their coatings, and when looking through magnification, I can see why; the coating is much thicker than one finds on later faux pearls. As a result this necklace is a wonderful example of period costume jewelry from the early 20th century. The gorgeous necklace consists of eleven drops each of which has a small round pearl and an elongated pear-shaped pearl. They are suspended from a silver toned chain with lovely patina. This lovely piece would make a perfect vintage bridal necklace, or for a graduation. An heirloom that could be worn for any formal occasion for many years to come.
