Edwardian French silver crane ring.  This antique French Art Nouveau ring is made of sterling silver( tested). The beautiful ring is French Art Nouveau and dates back to circa 1900. The lovely piece has developed a beautiful natural patina over the past 100 years that really brings out all of the delicate details. It features a graceful figural bird( likely a crane-a symbol of longevity & loyalty, so perfect for an engagement or friendship ring) with outstretched wings, backed with elegant filigree quatrefoil design. This style of ring was sometimes given to the bride of a pilot in WWI , which fits in beautifully with the symbolism of the flying crane.  This ring has lived a long life of being well-loved and enjoyed, but all the original beauty and charm remains and is ready to be worn and enjoyed again for many years to come.
