Estate 14k Welo opal & rose cut diamond ring. This beautiful estate ring is made of 14k white gold, genuine diamonds and a magnificent opal.  Featuring an oval cut natural genuine Ethiopian opal , known as the 'Welo Opal' . This gorgeous polished opal has an expertly claw set opal in the centre with rose-cut diamonds that surrounds the entire opal.  The play of colour is stunning,  with it's dark background and flashes of green, orange, and blues. The colours dance when the light hits the gemstone a certain way. The claws are beautiful and delicate and the head of the ring is gorgeous with its pierced decorative design. The band has a lovely high polish and looks new. The ring is contemporary, however it has lovely rose cut diamonds, which gives the ring much character.  The piece is elegant, and simple with it's classic style. This ring is a treasure to be enjoyed for many years to come.  

Note: This newly discovered opal found in the Welo Amhara Regional State Highland plateau 2,500 -3,200 meters above the sea level of Ethiopia is a new find that is quickly gaining the attention of the opal community.  This opal was a hit of the recent Tuscan international gem show.  Well these opals require a mountain of patience and some special cutting techniques, the finished result is every bit as stable as the better known Australian opal. The colour is brilliant and rivals any top grade opal in the world.  This is a beautiful example of the new found 'Welo Opal" , with it's gorgeous cabochon, and classic design.
