Georgian Etruscan 14K garnet filigree earrings. These exquisite handmade earrings are made of 14K gold . They are hand wrought gold filigree earrings in a Etruscan revival design of delicate twisted wire and gold balls. A lot of work and fine craftsmanship went into making these earrings. The garnets are genuine, they are a beautiful red wine colour, that sparkle when the light reflects off of them. These beautiful earring are a fine example of the filigree technique which can be traced back 5000 years and one of the oldest art forms developed by man. They are completely hand crafted and they required hours of concentrated work twisted fine, thread like wires of precious metals into highly ornamental lacy designs. Gold filigree work is becoming a lost art. These Earrings would make a very special gift or a beautiful addition to any jewellery collection.
