Post Medieval 16th century original mother of pearl bronze ring. This amazing ring is made of bronze. The bronze has a beautiful aged patina. The centre gemstone is a , what appears to be, the original mother of pearl. The mother of pearl is gorgeous with hues of, green, gold and blue. The top of the bezel has a lovely crimped detail. The setting also has a lovely fluted detail and so does the sides of the band. The ring was excavated 50 Km from Kiev. The city is known as one of the oldest cities called Vyshhorod , Kievan Russia. This ring would make a very special addition to any collection of early jewels. The ring can be worn with care or worn on a necklace. This one is a very special piece.
