Victorian'Belle Epoque' Victorian 18K Sapphire, Diamond & Pearl Necklace. This magnificent Victorian necklace is made of 18k solid rose and white gold, natural sapphires, natural diamonds and genuine pearls.  The cornflower blue sapphires are expertly claw- set into rose gold settings, The gold heart shaped frame is encrusted with old mine cut and rose cut diamonds. There are also two genuine lustrous pearls flanking the centre gemstones.  The pearls appear to be original to the piece and if so would be natural due to the age of the piece. The pendant has an inscription on the back that reads '1872' which was probably given as a wedding or anniversary gift to commemorate that year.  There are no other indications of metal quality or maker (metal has been tested for 18K gold)  The chain has its original clasp and although small it is in working order.  This beautiful necklace is a breathtaking design, and natural gemstones. Truly a heirloom piece to be enjoyed for many years to come.
