Night Of Intrigue- Vintage 10K Rose Gold 'Black Alaskan Diamond' Marquise Ring. This gorgeous ring is crafted from 10K yellow gold , hallmarked 10K, and a makers mark. Featuring a genuine faceted marquise shaped hematite gemstone, quality gold-work and classic styling. History: Hematite (Black Alaskan Diamond) residues are also found in graves from 80,000 years ago. Near Rydno in Poland and Lovas in Hungary red chalk mines have been found that are from 5000 BC, belonging to the Linear Pottery culture at the Upper Rhine.
Gold was generally used for a couple thousand years solely to create things such as jewelry and idols for worship. This was until around 1500 BC when the ancient empire of Egypt, which benefited greatly from its gold-bearing region, Nubia, made gold the first official medium of exchange for international trade.
