Of An Era - Victorian 9K Amethyst & Pearl Pendant/Brooch. This majestic pendant is crafted from 9K yellow and rose gold, hallmarked 9ct ( British hallmark for 9K)and makers mark W.B. The chain is crafted from 10K yellow gold, hallmarked 10K ITALY. Featuring three round cut faceted amethysts, one pear shape amethyst, 48 natural seed pearls, Victorian era detail and workmanship. This exquisite pendant has the most beautiful purple amethysts, whilst the pearls are lustrous, silky and grey in colour. The open-work pendant has a foliate design with collet set amethysts which are flanked by trefoils and flowing crests of seed pearl gemstones. with open -work between and all claw-set into the pendant. The pendant exhibits a pear shaped amethyst dropper to its base, also collet-set. Only the amethyst gemstones are exposed to the pendants reverse side. There is a marquise shaped loop to the apex of the pendant containing further seed pearl and through which a necklace can pass, to be worn around the neck. The pendant displays a sturdy pin to its reverse which locks tightly. This pendant looks stunning when worn, truly an heirloom piece to be cherished and enjoyed for many years to come.
