On This Day In 1913 - Edwardian (Post) 18K Gold & Ruby Ring. This exquisite ring is crafted from 18K yellow gold, hallmarked 18ct (British hallmark for 18K), a date assay for 1913 and a Chester hallmark. Featuring 6 natural round cut rubies, one natural round cut diamond, Edwardian styling, engravings, quality workmanship, and full crisp hallmarks. This wonderful ring is set with a star- set bright, white, clear diamond, flanked by a spray of bead - set rubies on each side. The rubies have a beautiful deep red colour, with a pinkish / red hue. The underside is solid with exposure to the precious stones, which makes for easy cleaning. The shoulders exhibit exquisite scroll type engravings, whilst the shank is smooth and polished, which allows for a comfortable fit. The ring has a rich feel with its combination of 18K buttery yellow gold and vibrant red rubies, enhanced by a sparkling diamond. This Antique ring is over 100 years old and full of history, a perfect unique piece for that special someone.
