Petit Point - Victorian 18k Gold Diamond, Ruby & Pearl 14K French Leaver back 'Star' Dangly Earrings. These pretty earrings are crafted from 18K yellow gold, hallmarked 18, and tested. The surmounts are crafted from 14K gold, hallmarked 14KT. They feature 12 natural antique rose cut diamonds, 12 natural ruby gemstones, 2 natural pearls, 2 genuine cultured pearls, Victorian era, and vintage era styling, and quality craftsmanship. These special earrings are comprised of gold stars, which are adorned by glowing rose cut diamonds, red rubies, and lustrous rare natural pearls. The stars date from the Victorian era, whereas the surmounts were changed at one point in time to vintage French lever backs. The earrings most likely had antique non pierced screw backs on them, and were changed to French lever backs for pierced ears. The surmounts are expertly set with beautiful lustrous white pearls, displaying a slight pinkish hue. The springs in the lever backs are in perfect working order, and are secure and an attractive design. These Victorian era earrings would be a unique and charming addition to any antique jewelry collection.
