Post Medieval 18th-19th century silver "save and protect" cross. This beautiful cross is crafted from silver tests 800 European Silver. Featuring exquisite engraving, perfect aged patina, and quality silver work. The cross has a very attractive shape, even the baled has a lovely form , the cross has very detailed engraving own the front and back, including a very special quote" Cnacn n coxpahn" meaning " Save and Protect" , the bale can be flipped so that the cross can be worn with the quote on the front. Matched up to a contemporary foxtail chain, aesthetically perfect with the stunning antique cross. The chain has a very secure lobster claw clasp, hallmarked 925 for sterling, and Italy. This beautiful piece would make a very special gift or addition to any jewelry collection.
