Ruby Royale - Estate IGI 14K Gold Rare Natural Ruby & Diamond Halo Ring.  This rare ring is crafted from 14K yellow gold.  Featuring one natural oval cut faceted natural (no heat) ruby,  30 natural rose cut diamonds, classic styling, and quality craftsmanship.  This wonderful ring showcases a rare natural ruby, which is accompanied by a IGI report numbered 474146846. Natural no heat rubies are rare since 99 % of the gemstones available in the market today have different forms of treatment. This particular example is completely natural, and came out of the earth this amazing colour.  The ruby is a vibrant red, with a pinkish/red hue. The beautiful ruby is surrounded by sparkling rose cut diamonds, which sets off the ruby perfectly. The shoulders of this ring are also adorned by diamonds, leading down to a polished and smooth band, which allows for a comfortable fit and easy sizing.  This Estate ring is an investment piece that will not only increase in value, but will also bring you many years of enjoyment. Truly a ring to be cherished.

Note: Appraisal and IGI (International Gemological Institute) documentation included with the ring.

Rubies have been particularly prized in Asian countries. Records suggest that rubies were traded along China's North Silk Road as early as 200 BC. Chinese noblemen adorned their armor with rubies because they believed the gem would grant protection. Burma has been a significant ruby source since at least 600 AD.

The earliest diamonds were found in India in 4th century BC, although the youngest of these deposits were formed 900 million years ago. A majority of these early stones were transported along the network of trade routes that connected India and China, commonly known as the Silk Road.

People most likely first discovered gold in streams and rivers all over the world with its beauty and luster catching the eye. ... A few centuries later, around 1200 BC, the Egyptians discovered they could alloy gold with other metals in order to make it stronger and give it different color pigments.
