Scarce 200 AD ancient Roman protome bronze intaglio horse ring. This amazing protome ring is made of bronze , the bronze has a wonderful aged patina. This wonderful piece is a intaglio horse seal ring. The ring is in a very well preserved condition. The bronze patina is rich and dark. The horse is beautifully designed and detailed, including detailed work around the edge of the face of the ring. Even the shoulders have a design on the top of the shank of the ring. This ring can not be sized, however it can most definitely be worn with care on you finger or on a chain around your neck. This amazing early artifact can be worn with care on your finger or as a pendant on a necklace.
