Sol of A Viking - Ancient Viking Circa 1150 A.D. Silver Earrings. These amazing artifacts are crafted from Ancient silver, and sterling silver wires, hallmarked 925 for sterling. Featuring 2 medallions, with which looks to be a sun motif on the front facing part of the disc, the back has a floral motif. The medallions still have their beautiful aged patina and have been untouched from how they were found. They are museum quality , and a metal detector find , the amulets have been matched up to contemporary sterling silver wires, aesthetically perfect with the delicate detail on the front of the wires. The earrings are smaller in scale, delicate and absolutely beautiful. Truly a very special artifact to be enjoyed and treasured for any years to come.
Note: These rare treasures were purchased from a passionate collector's successors in Munich, Germany. Their father used to be a searcher exploring the Eastern parts of Denmark. According to his sons, this item was found in excavations near a lake, most likely a battlefield.
