Sea Water - Vintage 10K Aquamarine & Diamond Ring (VR398).  This Vintage classic ring is crafted from 10K yellow & White Gold, hallmarked 10K.  Featuring a natural emerald cut aquamarine, two natural single cut diamonds, classic styling and quality gold-work.   This gorgeous ring is classic and modernistic, and exhibits a such a sense of style with its wonderful unique gallery. Ribbons of gold underneath the gemstone are extended to the claws that house the beautiful seawater blue aquamarine. The aquamarine is enhanced by sparkling diamonds on each side of the main gem. The shoulders have a split open-worked decoration , leading down to a dainty, however study and substantial smooth polished shank, which allows for a comfortable fit.  This Vintage ring would make a perfect gift or wonderful addition to any fine jewelry collection.

Note: Aquamarine refers to beryl that is pale blue, light blue-green, or even light green in colour.

Aquamarine evokes the purity of crystalline waters, and the exhilaration and relaxation of the sea. Aquamarines were thought to be treasures of the mermaids, and was used by sailors as a talisman of good luck.  They were also thought to absorb the atmosphere of young love, and when blessed and worn it joins in love, and does great things. In Medieval times, the stone was thought to reawaken the love of married couples.  Aquamarine was thought to be a "all purpose" healing stone.  The history of the aquamarine is intriguing, however one thing I believe we can all agree upon is that the beauty of this precious gem never fades.
