What makes this tennis bracelet unique and oh so special is the clasp , which is in the form of a flower set with beautiful sparkling marquise diamonds. History : The term Tennis Bracelet was coined thanks to Chris Evert, a professional tennis player from the USA, who had a prolific career which stemmed from 1972 to 1989. During a ferocious match in the US Open her George Bedewi diamond bracelet broke and fell off her wrist. ... This is now known as the "Tennis Bracelet".

The earliest diamonds were found in India in 4th century BC, although the youngest of these deposits were formed 900 million years ago. A majority of these early stones were transported along the network of trade routes that connected India and China, commonly known as the Silk Road.

Marquise Diamond: The history of the marquise cut goes back in to the 18th century.  According to legend, the French King Louis XV (1710 -1774) commissioned his court jewellers to create a diamond to match the smile of his chief mistress, Jean Antionette Poisson, the Marquise de Pompadour.
