History: The popular bracelet in the bangle's style, which is characterized as a circular and rigid bracelet, dates back to 2600 BC. The ancient device has cultural significance dating back almost 5,000 years to the villages of Mohenjo-daro on the banks of the Indus River in what is today Pakistan.

Hetepheres's tomb dates to 2,600 BCE and is the largest and most famous collection of silver artefacts from early Egypt. Her bangle bracelets were among jewellery found inside the tomb when it was first uncovered in 1925. They would have been custom-made for her.
