Sparkling Criss - Cross -  Estate Silver Plate Crystal Rhinestone Open-Work Ring. This stylish ring is crafted from silver plate over metal. Featuring  numerous round cut crystal rhinestones, and high fashion designing. The gallery is made up of a criss cross design across the top of the ring. The pretty lattice work is adorned by beautiful sparkling clear rhinestones. The band is smooth and polished, which allows for a comfortable fit. This estate fashion ring would give a wonderful couture look to any wardrobe.

History: Joseph Strasser could be credited with the precursor to our present-day Rhinestone, but it was really when Georg Freidrich Strass in 1760 invented the first ever rhinestone (artificial gemstone) from a special type of crystal found in the Rhine River that the stones we know today were born.

Sheffield Plate — produced in Sheffield between 1760-1840 — was the earliest form of silver plating. The plating method involves thin sheets of silver being fused (using heat) to a base metal, which, for Sheffield Plate, was copper.
