The Great Gatsby - Art Deco 14K White Gold Diamond & Sapphire Ring. This gorgeous ring is crafted from 14K white gold, tested and confirmed. Featuring 3 natural round brilliant diamonds. 6 natural single cut diamonds, two triangular shaped synthetic sapphires, Art Deco era styling, and high quality craftsmanship. The gallery on this ring  showcases 3 larger sparkling white diamonds, which are flanked by royal blue synthetic sapphires(a characteristic of Art Deco era jewelry), and accent diamonds throughout the setting. The gallery also exhibits lovely detailing, such as pierce-work, delicate milgrain detail, and exquisite engraving. The shoulders of the ring are engraved half way down, which lead into a polished and smooth shank, which allows for a comfortable fit and easy sizing. This Art Deco era ring is so artistic and beautiful, it exhibits femininity and delicacy, yet it is still substantial and so wearable. A true beauty!

Note: Appraisal include with the ring. Contemporary appraisals do not reflect the antique value of the piece.

History: The earliest diamonds were found in India in 4th century BC, although the youngest of these deposits were formed 900 million years ago. A majority of these early stones were transported along the network of trade routes that connected India and China, commonly known as the Silk Road.

The celestial blue color of this gemstone symbolized heaven and attracted divine favor and wise judgment. Greeks wore sapphire for guidance when seeking answers from the oracle. Buddhists believed that it brought spiritual enlightenment, and Hindus used it during worship.

White gold was invented in the 19th century by alloying gold with palladium. It became commercially available as of 1912 in Pforzheim, Germany and gained popularity in the mid-1920's as a low-cost substitute for platinum. It is an alloy of gold with copper, zinc, and nickel.

Milgrain detailingis often described as “tiny dots” along the edges of a piece, milgrain is a jewelry design technique where small beads of metal are used to create borders. Always connected with unique details, skilled craftsmanship and precise design, milgrain has held steady as a popular look for engagement rings.

The Art Deco design era originated in France in the 1910s, just before World War I, and continued through the 1930s. Representing luxury, modern flair, and glamor, this era embraced social and technological progress with bold lines, sharp angles, and geometric patterns.
