The Viking Warrior - Ancient Viking8th-11th Century Bronze Shield Amulet Pendant. This wonderful artifact if crafted from bronze. Featuring an ancient Viking design, and quality bronze work. This fantastic amulet is circular and in the design of a shield. This particular shield has a raised cross pattern and addition raised detail. There is also a etched border and a beautiful deep bronze patina. The bale is solid and in great condition. There is a contemporary loop and addition bale attached with a contemporary bronze chain featuring a secure lobster claw clasp in perfect working order.

Note: Viking chiefs became rulers of Slavic cities like Novgorod and Kiev. The Slavs were often their subjects. The Vikings in Russia came as traders not conquers. The Norwegians and Danish Vikings were centred primarily in Western Europe , however the Swedes looked eastward to the Baltic what is now Russia.
