Victorian Goddess - Victorian 9K Rose Gold Classical Cameo Goddess Wedgwood Pendant. This lovely pendant is crafted from 9K rose gold, hallmarked 9ct, and marked WEDGWOOD on the back of the cameo. Featuring a genuine Wedgwood cameo, Victorian styling, and quality gold-work. The expertly bezel set cameo showcases a beautiful fine white goddess playing a harp. The Classical goddess is wearing a graceful sheer dress, with her hair pulled up elegantly, and leaning against a pillar. This would most likely be designed from a goddess of Rome or Greece. The dramatic black and white cameo is set in a frame of rose gold and suspended by chains (a characteristic of antique jewelry) with a loop and rose gold chain, which gives the appearance of a necklace. The elongated octagon shaped pendant is elegant, however the simplicity of the piece allows for casual or formal wear. The chain is a belcher antique style crafted in 14K rose gold filled., a perfect match for the precious pendant. The Victorian era pendant looks stunning when worn, truly a piece to be treasured for many years to come.
Note: In the British history of the Victorian era was the period of Queen Victoria's reign from the 20th of June 1837 until her death on the 22nd of January 1901.
