Risqué Rarity - Victorian Sterling Silver Corset Bangle Bracelet. This gorgeous bracelet is crafted from sterling silver, hallmarked with STERLING SILVER, a British makers mark and N assay for a date of 1888. Featuring high quality sterling silver work and a stunning design, the bracelet is wide with a stunning chased pattern of foliage and engravings. There is also a raised detailed border and laces simulating a corset. The detail is fine, and beautiful with a gorgeous soft satiny silver aged patina . This piece would have been considered risqué at the time, which makes one wonder if it was worn by a daring young lady or given as a gift to a sir's mistress. The back of the bracelet is polished, and the clasp slides and clicks into place, there is also a safety chain for additional security. Today the bracelet has a charming, elegant and couture feel, it can be worn day or night. Absolutely beautiful!!
