History: Bond Boyd vintage costume jewelry The Canadian company Bond Boyd is known among fans of antique and vintage jewelry for its classic design, thanks to which its jewelry is always relevant and can be passed on in the family from generation to generation. The company was organized in the 40s of the last century, and the peak of its heyday fell on the 1950-1960s. But in the 1970s, the production, which was headquartered in Canada, ceased to compete with mass costume jewelry from Southeast Asia. Therefore, the company decided to end the production of jewelry made of precious metals and continued to produce only jewelry made of jewelry alloys. However, after a while, Bond Boyd completely switched to making badges and medals for corporate orders.

The term "rhinestone" can be traced back to the 18th century when rock crystals were found along the Rhine River in Europe. Initially, these crystals were gathered and cut to resemble diamonds, hence the name.

In 1862, Daniel Swarovski was born in Bohemia to a family that owned a crystal-cutting company. Now part of the Czech Republic, the Bohemia region has a rich history of crystal crafsmanship. In 1883, Daniel formed a jewelry company and by 1886, they had over 70 employees, and supplied jewelry for Queen Victoria. In 1891, Daniel registered a patent for the crystal cutting machine that he created and in 1895, moved from Bohemia to Wattens, Austria to begin crystal production.

Silver was first found in large amounts around 5000 BC, when prehistoric people dug the first copper mines. ... Large-scale silver mining had developed in Anatolia by 3000 BC. This was to meet the demand from the first ancient city states, which used the metal as a common medium of exchange.
