Rosette Adornment - Vintage Retro Gold Plated Cannetille Stylized Bracelet. This statement bracelet is crafted from gold plate over metal. Featuring stylized cannetille work, vintage styling, and quality craftsmanship. This wide bracelet is adorned by delicate rosettes, which are made to resemble antique cannetille work. It has wonderful texture, which gives the bracelet a contact of brushed matt gold, and polished gold. The secure hidden clasp slides and locks into place, and also features a safety chain, for additional security. This Vintage bracelet is high quality, so therefore looks like solid karat gold. It combines stylized Georgian- type cannetille work into a vintage bracelet. This bracelet looks stunning when worn, and can take you from day to night, because of the design and rich gold color. 

History: Luigi Brunatelli, an Italian chemist, is most widely credited for inventing electroplating. Brugnatelli published his findings on the use of Volta piles to deposit a layer of gold onto a metallic surface in 1805.

Cannetille is different from filigree in the way that the ornaments in the former are 3-dimensional (such a twisted coils or springs) with some repousse work while the filigree work is primarily flat. This particular example is casted to look like cannetille -work.

Condition: Very Good.  Note: Very slight gold plate wear on clasp of the safety chain and slight discoloration to the inside of the clasp where the clasp was soldered and attached. Visible only under close inspection. The bracelet gold-plate is bright and shows no wear on the outside and inside of the bracelet.
