Jeweled Tulips - Vintage 10K Gold & 12K Gold Filled Jade Dangly Earrings. These pretty earrings are crafted from 10K gold ear wires, and 12K gold Fill, hallmarked 10ct GOLD WIRE, 1/20 12K GF, and VITEX. These earrings feature two natural marquise jade cabochons, and vintage styling. The surmounts are for pierced ears, and feature French lever backs. Suspended from the ear wires are two dangles, which are made in the form of tulip flowers, adorned by beautiful natural green jade. These vintage earrings are versatile enough for day or evening wear.

History: As early as the Neolithic period the Chinese were carving jade into tools and simple cult objects in the form of flat disks with circular orifices at their centre. During the Shang dynasty (1600–1046 bce), they began making small ornamental plaques with decorative designs of animals incised on them in low relief.

The history of gold-filled jewellery traces back to early 19th century England, where this technique was patented to create semi-precious and better-quality custom jewellery during the Victorian Era.
