Victorian Revival - Vintage Silver Metal Sapphire Blue Crystal Rhinestone Ornate Ring. This pretty ring is crafted from a silver metal, and traces of gold plate. The ring features 5 round cut faceted crystal rhinestones, and vintage styling. The gallery on this ring are hand-set with beautiful sapphire blue sparkling crystal rhinestones, which is enhanced by an ornate surround. The band is simple and plain, which allows for a comfortable fit. The ring displays traces of gold plate throughout, however the ring has been left in the same condition, since the silver metal looks lovely with the vibrant blue crystals. This vintage ring is in the Victorian revival style, and looks wonderful when worn.

History: Origins. Originally, rhinestones were rock crystals gathered from the river Rhine, hence the name, although some were also found in areas like the Alps (the source of the Rhine). Today the name "rhinestone" applies only to varieties of lead glass known as crystal glass.
