Moonlit Nights - Vintage Sterling Silver Moonstone Necklace & Earring Parure. This wonderful set is crafted from sterling silver, hallmarked 925 for sterling. Featuring 18 natural round cabochon moonstones, Edwardian styling and quality craftsmanship. The unique parure is masterfully bezel set with glowing gems, which are opaque white in colour with flashes of blue in different light intensities. The flashes of blue are more-so seen when worn against your skin or a coloured background.  The necklace is a fringe design, with wonderful triple dangles. Whilst the earrings are a single drop design. The front of the necklace is jewelled, whilst the sides and back of the necklace is comprised with a solid silver flexible curb chain, which allows for a comfortable fit. The earrings are for pierced ears and feature shepherd hook ear wires. The necklace is adjustable and features a spring ring clasp in perfect working order. This Vintage set  compliments any outfit, and can be worn with formal or casual wear. Beautiful and so versatile! 

History: Its story begins in ancient Rome, where it was believed moonstone was formed from solidified beams of moonlight. They also held that the Roman goddess Diana, goddess of the moon, could be seen within the stone, and that it would bestow love, wisdom and good fortune upon those who possessed it.

Silver's history is long. The first evidence of silver mining dates back to 3000 B.C., in Turkey and Greece, according to the RSC. Ancient people even figured out how to refine silver. They heated the silver ore and blew air over it, a process called cupellation.
