Winter Wonderland - Vintage Silver Crystal Floral Signed 'Artistic" Brooch. This brooch is crafted from a silver plate over a base metal. Featuring marquise and round cut crystal, Vintage styling and quality workmanship (Very similar to Sherman quality and style) This beautiful vintage brooch is signed by the Canadian firm "ARTISTIC". The center stone and outer stones are an icy white colour. Each stone is individually prong set - a very high quality piece of costume jewelry. The rhinestones have a unique shape, displaying a beautiful sparkle, and are in excellent condition. The silver plate is shiny and bright with no wear. The pin and lock system are in perfect working order. A Vintage statement piece that looks stunning on a coat or pashmina. High quality and gorgeous!

The name rhinestone comes from the discovery of crystals that were gathered from the Rhine River. Rhinestones are mass produced until 18th century when the founder of Swarovski, Daniel Swarovski, invented machine for cutting and faceting crystal stones.
