Worlds Collide - Victorian 9K Natural Ceylon Sapphire & Diamond Ring. This exquisite ring is crafted from 9K yellow gold with a gentle rose gold colour, tested and confirmed. Featuring a natural oval cut faceted Ceylon sapphire, 2 natural Old Mine cut diamonds, classic styling, and quality gold-work. This glorious ring showcases an expertly claw-set vibrant Ceylon sapphire featuring the most beautiful intense blue colour. The precious gemstone is enhanced by an old english cut diamond on each side. The ring is dainty, however still sturdy and substantial. The sapphire is from Ceylon (Sri Lanka) and the diamonds, most likely India. Ceylon produce some of the most important and beautiful sapphires in the world. Most diamonds in antiquity were mined from India. The shank on this ring is tapered, smooth and polished , which allows for a comfortable fit. This Victorian Era ring is a very fine example of a turn of the century design, from a date 1900. This breathtaking ring is elegant and absolutely stunning. Truly a unique engagement ring, perfect gift, or addition to any fine jewelry collection.
Note: Appraisal included with the ring. Appraisal does not take the antiquity Value into consideration.
Comments: Most gemstones in todays market are heat treated. This Ceylon sapphire shows no signs of treatment (see appraisal), therefore it came out of the ground this amazing violet blue colour. Truly a rare specimen.
