Leather & Gold - Vintage Marcel Boucher Gold Tone Leaf Brooch. This lovely brooch is crafted from a gold toned metal, signed Boucher, and numbered 5159. Featuring inset leather, Vintage styling and quality craftsmanship. This Vintage brooch is inset with a taupe coloured leather, and attractive open-work. It has a high polish finish on the front and the back. The pin is secured by a lock mechanism, in perfect working order. This Vintage brooch is a rare example, highly collectible and wonderful!
History: Marcel Boucher (1898–1965) was a French jeweller. In the early 1920s, he moved to New York City, where he developed a passion for jewellery design, studying under Pierre Cartier as an apprentice. By the 1930s, he was working for Mazer Brothers. In 1937 he opened his own business.
