Boucher Classic - Vintage Marcel Boucher Silver Tone Sapphire Crystal Buckle Brooch. This fabulous brooch is crafted from a silver toned metal, signed Boucher. Featuring crystal, Vintage styling, and quality craftsmanship. The brooch is beautifully designed as a buckle, adorned by sapphire blue crystal baguettes and clear crystals. The brooch is circular, and showcases nice detailing. It is sleek and elegant, with a wonderful Cartier feel. Not surprising considering that Boucher trained under Cartier before starting his own business in 1937. The pin on the back is secured by a lock mechanism in perfect working order. This modernistic Vintage brooch is classic and so beautiful, and will add a touch of sophistication to any outfit.
Marcel Boucher (1898–1965) was a French jeweller. In the early 1920s, he moved to New York City, where he developed a passion for jewellery design, studying under Pierre Cartier as an apprentice. By the 1930s, he was working for Mazer Brothers. In 1937 he oped his own business.
