Medieval 15th - 16th Century Bronze Engraved Buckle Pendant. This wonderful pendant is crafted from bronze. Featuring Medieval styling, engravings, and lovely detail. This beautiful buckle can be worn as a pendant. It has a nice solid bale and exquisite open-work and engravings. The central portion has lovely open -work with am engraved motif, surrounded bu engravings and an etched border. On the back of the ancient pendant there is a bar, which would have been used as a buckle centuries ago. The pendant has been matched up to a contemporary black leatherette adjustable cord. The Medieval antiquity is in fine condition, and has a golden bronze patina. A perfect addition to a collection for lovers of unique ancient artifacts.
Archaeological evidence suggests the transition from copper to bronze took place around 3300 B.C. The invention of bronze brought an end to the Stone Age, the prehistoric period dominated by the use of stone tools and weaponry.
