Napoleonic 1863 Treasure - Victorian French Emperor Napoleon III 21K & 18K 10 Francs Coin Ring. This exquisite ring is crafted from a 21 Karat gold coin, and 18K yellow cold, tested. The ring features a original 10 Francs Napoleon III Emperor coin, dated 1863, Victorian era styling, and quality craftsmanship. The gallery on this ring is expertly set with a beautiful gold coin. On the front of the coin there is an portrait of Napoleon III and in writing it says: NAPOLEON III, EMPEREUR and BARRE. The back of the coin says: EMPIRE FRANCAIS 10 FRANCS 1863. The coin is shaped in such a way that it conforms  around the top of the finger, making the ring less bulky, and comfortable to wear. The shoulders are designed in a split open-work form. This type of shank allows for easy sizing, and a comfortable fit. History: Napoleon III, Emperor of the French (1808-1873) Napoleon III was the first president of France from 1848 to 1852, and the last monarch of France as Emperor of the French from 1852 until he was deposed in absentia on 4 September 1870. Prior to his reign, Napoleon III was known as Louis Napoleon Bonaparte.

Gold was generally used for a couple thousand years solely to create things such as jewelry and idols for worship. This was until around 1500 BC when the ancient empire of Egypt, which benefited greatly from its gold-bearing region, Nubia, made gold the first official medium of exchange for international trade.
