Magnificent French Art Deco beaded flapper necklace. This wonderful necklace is crafted from ivory silk thread and glass beads. This lovely necklace is handcrafted and threaded with angel skin coral, cobalt blue, ruby red and peridot green glass beads. The colour combination on this stunning piece is absolutely beautiful. The necklace was given to an elderly lady as a child and stored away until a decade ago. This Art Deco beauty is truly a treasure to be cherished and enjoyed for many years to come.

Note: These were made in France and often purchased by the soldiers after WW1 as souvenirs. They are made with micro glass beads and completely hand made. Although bead work dates back thousands of years ago, european glass beadwork dates back to the 14th century. This necklace is a wonderful example of the handmade beaded pieces from the flapper era.
