Victorian 14k Ruby & diamond ring. This gorgeous ring is crafted from 14K gold, hallmarked 14k inside the circumference of the band. Featuring a synthetic red ruby, natural round cut diamonds, an exquisite design and white and yellow gold work. The expertly set ruby is claw set in white gold, flanked by two delicate yellow gold flowers and 3 small diamonds on each side of ruby. The beautiful ruby has a vibrant red colour with a hot pink hue. The ring also has lovely delicate detail on the side of the mount. The band ids polished and simple, allowing the ring to be comfortable when worn. This Victorian treasure is truly a ring to be enjoyed for many years to come.

The first synthetic corundum, a flux-grown ruby , was produced in 1873. This development was followed by the commercial introduction of the flux-grown Geneva synthetic ruby in 1885 and Verneuil flame-fusion synthetic ruby in 1902.
