Moon River -  - Vintage Sterling Silver Moonstone Necklace. This wonderful Necklace is crafted from sterling silver, hallmarked 925 for sterling. Featuring 5 genuine natural marquise moonstone cabochons, 3 genuine natural round moonstone cabochon gemstones, Edwardian styling and quality craftsmanship. The lovely necklace is masterfully bezel set with glowing moonstone gems, which are opaque white in colour, displaying a flash of blue in different light intensities. The necklace is a partial riviere design with a beautiful moonstone dangle drop. The front of the necklace is jewelled, whilst the sides and back of the necklace are comprised of a solid silver flexible curb chain, which allows for a comfortable fit.  The necklace is adjustable and features a spring ring clasp in perfect working order. This Vintage necklace compliments any outfit, and can be worn with formal or casual wear. Beautiful and so versatile!

Silver's history is long. The first evidence of silver mining dates back to 3000 B.C., in Turkey and Greece, according to the RSC. Ancient people even figured out how to refine silver. They heated the silver ore and blew air over it, a process called cupellation.
